Oh "Invisible Enemy" - Come forth and show your face! You have only shown us the path of destruction you leave behind. We've all witnessed your aftermath ... Famine, disease, pestilence, broken homes, trauma, death, limited resources and fear.
We've all heard your lies. They get personal for most of us as you somehow whisper things like, "You're never going get through this ... You're not good enough ... They'll laugh at you ... What makes you think you can change anything ..." I read an amazing book that taught me you are the father of lies. I read about your rebellion and how you were cast out. I read about how enraged you became and your mission to destroy. So show your face so we can all take a good look at you.
Let's get down to a few things - We've all experienced your aftermath as you whisper your lies. We've all carried your relentless guilt, shame and unworthiness. We've all taken your bait of being offended and we are all guilty of un-forgiveness. Yet we get to choose whether we carry that un-forgivess, guilt and shame. You've tormented so many and your torment has caused many to fall into anxiety and depression. You have succeeded in tormenting to the point that many have taken their own lives.
It's true that you are compared to a hungry lion, ready to devour and kill. It appears fear is one of your best cards to play. We see it around the world - so many are locked in by your invisible fear. Afraid of failing, afraid of loving again, afraid of dreaming, afraid of being alone, afraid of losing, afraid of rejection, afraid of loving. You are so clever and cunning ... for now.
You thrive best in the vast darkness. You lure the meek and broken into deeper states of shame and guilt. Little do they know, you are after their very souls. You are promising much fame, financial gain and power as many have chosen darkness to seek your dead promises. They trade their very soul for a temporary exchange of a brief moment of a piece of your dark world.
Time is running out on you as you hide in the dark corners of your little pathetic world. You know about the Light that is finding it's way into your dark hole that you call home. You know more than most, that once that Light shines upon your darkness, nothing you can do or say can stop it. You've had your hay day on this earth and you've managed to bring darkness upon it - Just like the beginning of time itself.
The book I mentioned spoke about this beginning once - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Indeed you have shown us all that you are a creature of the night. Take note, invisible enemy, how the words show us all that once the Light shines, darkness flees with each new day. The very One who created you is taking things back to His original plan. He has given us all the right choose whom we will serve. It appears we've made our choice. Justice. It's a powerful thing you see. Justice. It's on it's way. Justice. It reveals the darkness you've hidden yourself for so long.
The book also has an ending - it appears we were all given the free will, yet we were all made in His image. Mind boggling when you think about it. The last chapter speaks about kingdoms, kings and rulers of the earth - Most of them fell in to your snare and fell. Destruction, wars, death, spilled blood, torment, and darkness appeared to fall upon the earth again, This is what mankind can physically see for ourselves.
The one thing we cannot see with earthly eyes is the Spiritual Battle that is taking place. Some of us can see it, but only because we have asked for eyes to see and ears to hear - Some were given those eyes. The book has also taught us - "You have not because you ask not." So we asked. We Got. Period. Yes, it's really that easy. And so, the battle rages in the Heavens. The typical good against evil scenario. Light Vs. Darkness. The Good News is that The Light takes over the darkness. Your captives are set free. Knees bowed before the Creator, and tongues professing before the Light of the World. The Good Guys Win.
Truth. The one thing that can set us all free. Funny thing about the truth is, the truth cannot simply be revealed, the truth must be discovered. Truth is like a buried treasure - we have to seek it out. The only one that has it, is the One who not only created it, but lives by it. Truth is so full of grace, mercy, forgiveness, comfort, healing, and love.
