I'm about to get very real with you sister. I am sick and tired of seeing my amazing, beautiful, talented, loving, caring, and gifted sisters throw in the towel. I am sick of the excuses you're telling yourself - "I don't have time." Every a woman calls me with that excuse I call Bull Crap on you!
Stop it! This is not going to fulfill YOUR 20/20 VISION. If that's your excuse, call me in a year, two years, five years or a decade later and tell me how that's working for you ...
Answer me this ... 'What do you want the most?' Not what you want right now, but what do you want The MOST out of your life? I'm not talking about what your mother and father want for you ... Or what your best friends tell you, Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has permission to tell you what you can have or become in this life. This is YOUR Journey - YOUR Road to travel - YOUR LIFE!
I love the women in my life who have had enough of licking the floors of hell. The women who are determined to take massive action ... They are not waiting on tomorrow, next week, next year or a decade from now, RIGHT NOW! Let me talk to those women for a minute. You already know that anything you want for yourself, you have to do that for yourself. I know you feel it - You know, that little "stirring" deep inside of you ... That's your dream calling. But you are not going to settle for a little dream, You are the kind of woman who is going to take that little stirring dream of yours and turn it into a PLAN! You know already that nobody is going to care about your dreams as much as you do. NOBODY!
I believe deeply that you are capable of anything you set your mind to. But you have to set your mind to it and go ALL IN! So ... Woman of Vision, what's your plan? What is your end result? I need you to see it, and work your way backwards to where you are right now and take the steps in reverse. You are the engineer of your life ... get that plan, that blueprint, and start building and don't you dare give up! When it gets hard, and it will - or when it's taking too long - Just know that's called LIFE.
You already know there are going to be hard days, but don't encourage the hardness of life. You know that when you surround yourself with "Dream-Killers" you are going to FAIL. Avoid people who do possess that ability to take a chance. Fear stops them from going all in and that is NOT YOU! You are stronger than you have become. You can do more than you think you can do and you are capable of whatever you set your mind to.
PLAN LIFE ACCORDINGLY.
Sometimes you literally have to sit in the hard parts. Sometimes you have to live in that tension. If fact, I have lived long enough to know that it's in those very places that you actually get stronger. It's those places when you come to the end of yourself that you begin to cry out, "God, Help Me." Let me assure you He is listening and He has been waiting patiently to hear your cry. It's also known as your Battle Cry! So Cry it out sister!
I mean if we get real about this thing called life, wasn't it God himself who said, "I know the plans I have made for you. Plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) Well ....??? Do you see what's happening? It's those hard parts, those times of tensions, those dark corners of life where we want to throw in the towel, and God throws it back and says, "Get up! We're not there yet."
You will never grow or change who you want to be by sitting in those places. It's those places where you are growing your faith, you're growing in truth, you're growing in to the person God created you to be to fulfill a purpose. You become that person once you take that leap of faith and it feels like you are flying through the air not knowing if you have a parachute, how you are going to land and you don't know whether you are going to have a smooth landing or crash and burn.
This is how you become the person who you are meant to be. Sometimes it's through trial and error and that's perfectly okay! Have you ever thought that maybe God gave you this mountain to show other people it can be moved?
It's warriors like you who have walked through those hard times, that is how the rest of us know how we can get somewhere. You can now look back and at your past and see a line of mistakes - See only the hard stuff that life threw your way OR you can recognize all of the times that you overcame adversity. That you pushed through all those hard times, and you're still standing! Look at YOU!
When you go through something strong and you feel that very moment when you become stronger in the process and stronger because of it, you'll remember me too. When you see another sister, and she's carrying that very baggage that you carried for years - you know the weight of it, you know how discouraged she is feeling, you know that she is about to declare "hope" as a beggar, and all you see is where you used to be ....
You can go boldly to her and say, "Hey Sister, I can help you carry that load because I know what it feels like to unpack that bag. Maybe it's more like unpacking a U-Haul - and you can inspire her to get through all that baggage that most likely wasn't hers to carry in the first place. What I mean is, how many women do you know that were molested as a child? They carry all that shame and guilt ... That's NOT their shame and guilt to carry! It's the perpetrator of the incident. Let me be the first to tell you I will raise my hand and I will be the first person to tell you that's what happened to me. Childhood is where it all begins - unresolved hurts, trauma, isolation, and when you were having a melt down and were screamed at to go to your room ... the isolation. Well, I've walked through it and I am on the other side ...
There will come a day, like with me, you will see your reflection in the mirror. You'll look deeply into the eyes of a woman you no longer recognize. You'll see the hurting child inside and she is crying out to the adult you are today. You will look at her lovingly and tell her gently, "Stop crying about what happened and take control of what happens next. Let's get some help to heal those hurts, to forgive, and to set ourselves free and we take something broken and make something new."
So let us rise my Sisters. Let us be the women who make a difference. The women who know how to cry out to our God. The women who encourage other women, and straighten their crown when they need us. Rise up from where we've been, heal our hearts, and grab the hand of another sister in need once we heal and change the world together.
What is your 20/20 VISION Sister? See it. Seek it. Heal from your past in order to embrace your future. Now, let's go put that dent in the Universe that we've been created to do!
